Mall News Letter 26 October 1999

Scripts in JavaScript Corral and Free Javascript Learning Center have been updated to make them Y2K compliant. Until further notice, I will not be able to answer any emails requesting help.  I need to do some updates to my pages and just don't have time to do both.  I hope to have this work done in about a month.  I will continue to answer questions about my scripts and the lessons in the Free JavaScript Leaning Center. JavaScript Corral - I updated the first 4 Date Scripts in the Code 4 U section to make them Y2K compliant on  25 October 1999.  Version 2.0 of my Pop-up Images Script was posted on 10 October, 1999.  The problem with it working with the AOL browser has been corrected.  It now also works with the older Microsoft Internet  Explorer Browsers.  Therefore, the Script should now work with all Browsers.  Updating to this new Script from an older version is easy.  All you will have to do is to replace the old Script with the new one and add one additional HTML file to your server.  No links need to be changed. The changes to make the navigation in the Pop-up section have not been completed.  I am working on it and hope to have it completed soon. e News Boxes - I opened my e News Boxes Site on 5 October 1999.  This is a departure from JavaScript but I think it is pretty cool and informative.  You can get your News, Stocks, Sports, TV Listings, and Weather all in one convenient place.  You can currently personalize you Stock Portfolio and TV Listings.  I plan on adding to this site as I have time. Free JavaScript Learning Center - 12 of the planned 14 Lessons have been posted.   I updated the Date Scripts in Lessons 2, 8, 9, and 11 to make them Y2K compliant on 26 October 1999. I am working on Lesson 13.  I plan to post this lesson in installments, the first being on cookies.  I hope to have it done in about 1 week. Click 4 Web Tools - I continue to add links to new tools as I find them.  This site is updated several times a week.  Recently added Webmaster tools include a Search Engine for your site,  Chat Room, and  Bulletin Board. Recently added Surfer tools include free on-line photo albums, free easy-to-do web pages,  a  way to manage your login passwords,  and one that pays you up to 25% back for on-line purchases.
