There is a potential security issue in the Corel® Update application (binary name get_it) of Corel® LINUX® OS.

Corel Update is currently an suid root program. The suid root characteristic is not necessary for the operation of Corel Update, and it inadvertently creates an opportunity for non-authorized access to the system.

Correcting this problem was a top priority for Corel and as a result, an update is now available from the Corel FTP site.
